What Was Tested

The standard testing of Muddy Creek followed the IOWATER volunteer level 1 protocol. The observations and streamside testing include:

  • Weather

  • Air temperature

  • Water temperature

  • Transparency

  • pH

  • Nitrite-N / Nitrate-N

  • Chloride

  • DO

  • Phosphate


    • All snapshots followed the IOWATER standard snapshot testing protocol. This was done so that the data from the JAICWC snapshots could be compared, side by side, with the other watershed snapshots. The observations and streamside test for a Snapshot testing include:
